Some of the advantages to aerial photography is that you'll be able to see a better view of what you're trying to look at, like the density of the trees. Another advantage to aerial photography is that you can see more contrasted photo of the area you are looking at. Some of the disadvantages to aerial photography are that you won't be able to get a "big" picture of what you want to look at. Another disadvantage to aerial photography is to first person point of view to an area, you won't be able to get everything about that area that you want to.
